 The
Calcutta B series is constructed from a cold forged aluminium frame, side
plates and spool, which create a strong frame with tighter tolerances. All
reels also feature Shimano’s A-RB stainless steel ball bearings, Super
Stopper to eliminate back play and enable solid hook-sets, a Dartanium drag
and Variable Brake System (VBS) to aid cast control. The 201B model
incorporates an Easy Access Side plate whilst the larger CT400B, 400BSV and
700BSV include a clicker that increases the tension on the freespool and
activates a ‘fish-on’ clicking alarm. The CT400BSV and 700BSV are designed
without a top crossbar or level wind to provide better access to the spool.Features include the following:
