HOW TO USE THE SHIMANO ELASTIGATE SYSTEM
1. Tie a crow’s foot or Stonfo connector to your elastic.   2. Thread the elastic through the wide bore tip and let it come out of the bottom of either your number 2 or 3 section depending on the elastication length.  
3. Bring the 30cm threader (supplied) through the hole in the side of the section and push it until it reaches the end of the section.
4. Connect your elastic to the threader and pull your elastic through the hole.   5. Fix and tension your elastic by attaching to the clip at the side of the section.
  WHY USE THE ELASTIGATE SYSTEM?
  1. Quickly load new elastic through your top sections even under competition pressure.
  2. Quickly change elastic size (no knot at the bung end of the elastic means elastics can be stored to suit any venue).
  3. Reduce the length of the elastic by pulling it out of the hole.
    This in turn can help to land fish easier.
  4. ElastiGate now provides the possibility to play and land big fish with an Elastigate Top 2 kit.
  5. Correct the tension of the elastic after landing a big fish with a simple and extremely fast adjustment.
  6. Full lengths of elastic can be stored on the winder, and introduced if the elastic diminishes at the tip.
  7. Winder bungs are a thing of the past, meaning money is saved on elastication accessories and weight is lost in the tip of the pole.
  8. Different fitting extractor rods are a thing of the past.
