The Aerocast Match is the first Shimano match rod to
feature the revolutionary oval blank technology. The effect of the oval
blank is quickly noticed when playing fish with the rod to the side (its
softest action).
When a fish is hooked and played on the side of the blank, the rod plays the
fish for you, cushioning every lunge and limiting any chance of pulling out.
When the rod is pointing upwards the stiff er side of the oval blank comes
into play and gives more power for netting fish. Built using XT200 carbon
and Biofibre, the Aerocast is fitted with top flight Fuji Alconite guides, a
custom screw reel seat and power cork handle.
Available in three lengths, with different choices of action, the Aerocast
looks set to revolutionise the world of match rods.
